Bethel: Bond supports students, athletics

The Bethel School District’s bond measure will modernize existing facilities, provide new schools to alleviate overcrowding and give students much-needed upgrades to fields that support athletic programs throughout the district.

I have served the Bethel community as a school board member, my children graduated from Bethel schools, and I am a proud graduate of Bethel High School.

Some of my fondest memories from my formative years are as a student and athlete. The education I received helped prepare me for my future, and I am pleased to see that Bethel High School will be modernized.

The rest of the district will get usable athletic fields to replace ones that are often unusable and sometimes become unsafe. This community deserves schools and athletic fields that will encourage students to embrace education and develop character through athletic participation.

Like the signs say, “Vote yes for Bethel kids!”
