MULTI-FUNCTION STOVE: The BioLite BaseCamp stove is an ingenious product that allows campers to not only cook with the heat created from burning small sticks and twigs, but to generate electricity that can charge their phones and other electronic devices.

HOW IT WORKS: The cook top, with a 13.25-inch diameter, has plenty of room for grilling or boiling water in the outdoors, and the stove can generate a great deal of heat from the twigs you’ll find around the campsite. Heat is converted to electricity via a thermoelectric generator on the stove, which drives a fan that blows into the burn chamber to improve combustion. The excess electricity is available to charge devises via a USB port on the stove. A dashboard on the stove measures the heat produced as well as electricity generated. Folding legs allow you to adjust the cooking height, and a flexible light can help you see your food in dark conditions.

BEST FOR CAR CAMPING: Weighing just under 18 pounds, the stove probably isn’t what you want for a backpacking trip, but for car camping, it’s a great way to cook your meals and keep you connected. You can even add a pizza stone and dome to create a true gourmet experience in the outdoors.

PRICE: $200.
