David Bond, founder of the United Kingdom’s Wild Network and director of the play-based British documentary film “ Project Wild Thing,” will visit Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument Saturday.
Bond will be at Johnston Ridge Observatory for a free screening of his film, the real-life story of one man's effort to get children outdoors. There will be a pre-film presentation by Bond at 5:45 p.m. in the outdoor amphitheater, and the film will be shown at 6:30 p.m. in the observatory theater.
The event is sponsored by Gifford Pinchot National Forest, Pacific Northwest Tax Service, Cowlitz County Economic Development Council and Mount St. Helens Institute.
