A grand opening celebration for the new Evergreen Sno-Park is scheduled for 11:30 a.m. on Nov. 1, the Washington State Parks and Recreation Commission announced this week.
The new Sno-Park area is located near Cle Elum and will include a chili feed for $5.
Evergreen Sno-Park is located at 2,200 feet above sea level and offers access to 100 miles of groomed trails. There is room for up to 25 vehicles with trailers. At two acres, plans call for the Sno-Park to eventually expand to five acres.
There isn’t likely to be any significant snow in time for the celebration. The state’s Sno-Park system opens for the season on Dec. 1.
