South Sound snow riders will have a second option this weekend, as White Pass ski area will open Saturday and Sunday with limited operations.
The area will operate its Far East Triple and Platter lifts from 9 a.m.-3:30 p.m. The Poma Face and the Platter area will be open for skiing, with 12-36 inches of snow higher on the mountain. The area also expects to place a few terrain park features in the base area as well.
Lift ticket will be $27 ($22 if you reload your WP Passport at the ticket booth). Beginner lessons will be available. Riders can pick up their season passes at Guest Services, and all lodge services including equipment rental, child care and retail sales will be in full operation.
Meanwhile, Crystal Mountain will be open for the weekend, but closed Monday-Tuesday and possibly Wednesday, depending on the weather.
