New cycling season pass includes STP entry, goes on sale today

The Cascade Bicycle Club’s new season pass goes on sale today, Dec. 9, at 10 a.m.

The $595 season pass assures cyclists of entry into eight cycling events including the Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic. The pass also includes membership in the club, a cycling jersey and entry into the club’s annual bike swap.

According to the club website the season pass will save cyclists $75. For more information on the pass visit cascade.org.

The club plans to have season passes available until Feb. 18. STP registration opens Feb. 10 to the general public and the 10,000 spots typically sell out in matter of weeks. It remains unclear how season pass sales will impact public registration for the Northwest’s most popular bike ride.

Season pass subscribers can pay extra to be assured low numbers on their bibs during races. Single-digit bibs are available for an extra $300. Double digit bibs cost an extra $100.
