Crystal Mountain closed for the weekend, White Pass plans to open

Crystal Mountain Resort officials aren’t above begging. Today this posted on their website this request in bold blue letters: “PLEASE SEND SNOW!”

A lack of snow means the ski resort won’t open this week resulting in the cancelation of Saturday’s K2 International Women’s Ski Day. The ski area still plans to have professional women skiers onhand for a women’s safety clinic. The ski area is also hosting a party 3-7 p.m. Saturday that includes music and an ugly sweater fashion show.

White Pass Ski Area still plans to open with limited operations Saturday and Sunday according to its website. The Summit at Snoqualmie will be closed.
