Washington ski areas are hoping forecasts predicting snow in the mountains are correct after a slow start to the season.
The National Weather Service is predicting snow through Saturday at Crystal Mountain and White Pass, but just rain and snow on Snoqualmie Pass where grass can still be seen on the slopes via the Alpental webcam.
Crystal Mountain was unable to open last weekend and White Pass opened with limited operations. The Summit at Snoqualmie has yet to open this season. All are currently closed.
Crystal’s website says it is closed until further notice. White Pass plans to start daily operations Saturday, Dec. 20.
