The Seattle to Portland Bicycle Classic will change its route through the South Sound in 2015, according to the event’s website.
This year the ride will travel inside Joint Base Lewis-McChord where organizers say the 10,000 cyclists will enjoy low-traffic roads and military vehicles that will be displayed along the route. The new route map will be posted on the Cascade Bicycle Club by June 1, the club says.
The 203-mile ride is scheduled for July 11-12.
Registration starts Jan. 13 for club members ($135) and Feb. 10 for non-members ($145). The club’s event season passes are already on sale and include entry into the STP. Season passes are $595 and include nine rides and club jersey and membership.
