The amount generated by outdoor recreation in Washington each year, spent on trips and equipment . The data comes from a new study prepared for the Legislature by the Washington State Recreation and Conservation Office. The survey also showed Washington residents spend an average of 56 days a year in some form of outdoor recreation. The study was done by Earth Economics, and is the first comprehensive analysis of the recreation economy in the state.
