ABOUT THE EVENT: This is a day to meet fellow board gamers. There also will be game demonstration, as well as open game tables.
ABOUT THE MUSEUM: This also is an opportunity for South Sound residents to visit the aviation museum. The collection highlights the advancing technologies of the 1930s and 1940s, with the main emphasis on combat aircraft produced during World War II. There are planes from the United States, Britain, Germany, Russia and Japan.
IN THE COLLECTION: In 1988, Paul Allen began acquiring aircraft and other artifacts fulfilling his passion for aviation history. Visitors can see a North American P-51D Mustang, Grumman F6F-5 Hellcat, Supermarine Spitfire Mark Vc, Mitsubishi A6M3-22 Zero, Focke-Wulf Fw 190 D-13 and a Messerschmitt Bf 190 E-3. The museum also has a a M4A1 Sherman medium tank, an M55 8-inch self-propelled howitzer and a turret trainer for the M1A1 Abrams main battle tank.
COST: The game events are free with museum admission. Tickets are adults $14, seniors (65 and older) and military $12, youth (ages 6-17) $10 and children 5 and younger free.
