Entry fee waived at national, state parks for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

Monday, Jan. 19, will be the first free-entry day of the year for National Parks. Entry to Washington’s State Parks will also be free Sunday and Monday.

The free entry is honor of Martin Luther King Jr. Day. Other fees, such as camping permits, still apply.

This year, National Parks are also offering free days Feb. 14-16 (Presidents Day), April 18-19 (Start of National Park Week), Aug. 25 (National Parks birthday), Sept. 26 (National Public Lands Day) and Nov. 11 (Veterans Day).
