Water belt

THE SITUATION: Winter isn’t a time when runners tend to think about hydration, but it’s actually critical if you plan to run outdoors in colder climates.

A SOLUTION: Ultimate Direction’s Access 20 water belt and bottle set makes it easier to remember, with a streamlined design that also allows you to carry other essential items like a smartphone, keys and small food packs.

THE DETAILS: The belt is made from a moisture-wicking mesh that’s lightweight and ventilated, giving you breathing room while keeping your waist dry. The compartments are made from a 150D ripstop fabric that’s durable enough to handle countless runs. Unlike other belts that can make getting a bottle fastened and unfastened an epic battle, the Access 20 has an angled cage with flared top to make access easier.

The bottle has a 20-ounce fluid capacity with kicker valve. The belt is adjustable from 14-45 inches. The entire unit weighs about 7 ounces and has a capacity of 37 cubic inches. It is available in green, black and blue.

PRICE: $44.95.
