WHAT: This 10-mile or 10-kilometer (6.2 miles) race starting at Steilacoom High School and winding through Fort Steilacoom Park is the second race in a popular series organized by the Fort Steilacoom Running Club. The Resolution Series includes four races each 5 miles or 5 kilometers longer than the previous. The first race was Jan. 1.

HISTORY: This is the 41st year of the Fort Steilacoom Running Club’s Resolution Run Series, designed to get people interested in running.
ACTIVITIES: Food is served after the race. Showers are available at the school after the race.
GETTING THERE: From South Tacoma Way, follow Steilacoom Boulevard west to Steilacoom High School.
COST: $35, $30 for Fort Steilacoom Running Club members. For the series: $85 or $65 for club members.
OF NOTE: Awards are given at the conclusion of the series. To qualify, you must have registered for the entire series in advance. You do not have to compete in the series to run in any of the races. The 15-kilometer/15-mile races are Feb. 21 and the 20-kilometer/20-mile races are March 21. No dogs are allowed at Steilacoom High School. Those volunteering to help with the race earn free entry into a future race. Registration begins at 7:30 a.m.
