Anyone can join the community walk Saturday through Tacoma’s Dometop neighborhood from 10 a.m.-noon, beginning at McKinley Park, 600 Upper Park St.
The 2.3-mile community tour will be led in part by Tacoma City Council member Marty Campbell, staffers from Metro Parks Tacoma, Rogers Park community garden leaders with support from Harvest Pierce County and the Healthy Homes, Healthy Neighborhoods program.
The Dometop neighborhood is an eastside community on McKinley Hill and is home to parks, a community garden and has some of the best views of downtown Tacoma.
The walk will take place rain or shine. Free water bottles will be distributed to the first 50 attendees, and light refreshments will be provided.
