YUCATAN, Mexico (AP) -- Alonzo Harris hit a three-run home run in the second inning, leading the Guerreros de Oaxaca to a 4-3 win over the Leones de Yucatan on Saturday.
The home run by Harris scored Erick Rodriguez and Omar Meza to give the Guerreros a 4-0 lead.
After Yucatan scored two runs, the Leones cut into the deficit in the eighth inning when Humberto Sosa hit an RBI single, scoring Walter Ibarra.
Oaxaca left-hander Irwin Delgado (2-0) picked up the win after allowing two runs on seven hits over 5 1/3 innings. Opposing starter Luis Mendoza (0-1) took the loss in the Mexican League game after giving up four runs and seven hits over five innings.
In the losing effort, Yucatan got contributions throughout its order, as five players had at least two hits. Leo Heras homered and singled, scoring two runs. The Leones failed to capitalize on some good scoring chances, leaving 12 runners on base in the loss.
