Navas’ single leads DSL Red Sox2 to 3-2 win over DSL Indians/Brewers

, (AP) -- Jose Navas hit a run-scoring single in the sixth inning to give the DSL Red Sox2 a 3-2 win over the DSL Indians/Brewers in the second game of a doubleheader on Wednesday.

Bryan Gonzalez scored on the play after he hit an RBI triple.

The single by Navas capped a two-run inning for the DSL Red Sox2 that started when B. Gonzalez hit a triple, scoring Luis Mota.

In the top of the fourth, DSL Red Sox2 grabbed the lead on a double by Danny Diaz that scored Navas. DSL Indians/Brewers answered in the fifth inning when Elian Gonzalez hit a two-run double.

Gregori Segovia (3-0) got the win in relief while Dahan Batista (0-4) took the loss in the Dominican Summer League game.

The DSL Red Sox2 swept both games of the doubleheader after winning the first game 4-3. With the win, DSL Red Sox2 improved to 7-2 against DSL Indians/Brewers this season.
