Real minor league rosters coming to MLB The Show. Now you can play your favorite Rainiers

If you’re like me, you see the waning days of winter as somewhat of a passage to spring and the arrival of Sony’s MLB The Show. The upcoming edition of this PlayStation exclusive will have some local flavor to it.

One of the newest features in the game’s franchise mode will be the addition to authentic Minor League Baseball rosters in MLB The Show 20, available March 17. So if you’re a fan of the Tacoma Rainiers, you will be able to play with their entire team in its complete authenticity and entirety.

An authentic Seattle Mariners vs. Tacoma Rainiers showdown on the PS4? Sounds pretty cool, don’t it?

Before you ask, no … there is no Cheney Stadium in the game, as cool as that would be. The Rainiers will be playing in one of the generic stadiums that the game provides. Rosters had been limited to 45-50 total players from each MLB organization on the game but only recently thanks to the creative suite on the game, people would create full rosters for each of the single through triple A rosters.

It has not been confirmed that there will be an appearance of “Epic Sax Gorilla” when the Rainiers take the field in MLB The Show 20.
