Disappointing Washington Huskies basketball season having no effects on potential UW lottery picks
At this point in the 2019-20 college basketball season, we should be pretty comfortable in saying the following…
It will take an absolute miracle to see the Washington Huskies reach the 2020 NCAA Tournament. The in-conference play collapse by the Huskies makes them, along with schools like Texas and North Carolina as the biggest disappointments of the season. So, with hopes of reaching the tournament circling the drain, it’s about time we start looking towards the future and the NBA Draft.
Where could Isaiah Stewart and Jaden McDaniels land IF they decide to leave for the NBA?
Jaden McDaniels: Round One, Pick No. 15. (Orlando Magic)
Isaiah Stewart: Round One, Pick No. 16 (Minnesota Timberwolves)
While it won’t be a surprise that the freshman duo will be linked close in the first round of the NBA Draft, this take on McDaniels is somewhat striking.
“McDaniels has largely been a disappointment since, and Washington has shockingly bottomed out all the way in conference play. Based on his frame, ball skills and the air of ostensible upside he’s long held, he should still end up a first-round pick, but it’s increasingly hard to argue McDaniels has performed anywhere close to that level.”
Jaden McDaniels: Round One, Pick No. 15 (Portland Trail Blazers)
Isaiah Stewart: Round One, Pick No. 20 (Dallas Mavericks)
Gary Parrish
Jaden McDaniels: Round One, Pick No. 9 (Sacramento Kings)
Isaiah Stewart: Round One, Pick No. 14 (Portland Trail Blazers)
Kyle Boone
Jaden McDaniels: Round One, Pick No. 11 (Boston Celtics)
Isaiah Stewart: Round One, Pick No. 12 (Detroit Pistons)
Jaden McDaniels, top 10 pick? Well, that would be fascinating to see. Clearly NBA Draft experts are impressed with his upside and potential.

Jaden McDaniels: Round One, Pick No. 16 (Minnesota Timberwolves)
