MLS suspends the 2020 season for 30 days in light of COVID-19

MLS is suspending the season immediately to address the ongoing (COVID-19) coronavirus. First reported by Sports Illustrated’s Grant Wahl, the league is following the NBA’s footsteps in trying to prevent the outbreak from spreading to players, coaches, and supporters.

Friendlies for both the US Men’s and Women’s National Teams have also been postponed for the time being.

The Seattle Sounders had initially postponed their March 21 match vs. FC Dallas on Wednesday morning
