MLB Home Run Predictions Today: HR Prop Bets for Friday, May 22

It's "Friday Fly Ball Frenzy," and several pitchers are bringing serious home run problems into dangerous matchups Friday. The fly-ball trends are there, the splits line up perfectly, and a few elite power bats are stepping into spots that could turn into fireworks quickly.

We have Yordan Alvarez facing a pitcher who has been crushed by left-handed power all season, Pete Alonso staying hot against a starter he's already taken deep before, and Matt Olson getting a matchup against a pitcher who continues to struggle badly with lefties. If you're chasing HR props Friday night, these are bats built for moonshots.

Best Home Run Props Today

Yordan Alvarez Home Run Bet (+414)

Alvarez has already taken Jameson Taillon deep before, and this matchup lines up really well for another bomb Friday night. Alvarez already has 15 home runs this season, with nine coming against right-handed pitching like Taillon. Taillon has also had major issues keeping the ball in the yard, allowing 16 home runs overall and 10 to lefties alone. With Alvarez continuing to crush the baseball, this feels like a perfect setup for another Yordan moonshot.

Pete Alonso Home Run Bet (+286)

Alonso has been heating up more every month, already smashing five home runs in May after hitting three in April. He also gets a matchup Friday against Jack Flaherty, who he's already homered off before. Seven of Alonso's nine home runs this season have come against righties, too. Flaherty has struggled much more on the road, where he's 0-3 and has allowed four of his six home runs. This feels like another really solid spot for a Pete bomb Friday night.

Matt Olson Home Run Bet (+564)

Olson has already taken Miles Mikolas deep twice in his career, and this feels like a perfect spot for another bomb Friday night. Olson hasn't homered since May 10, but he still has 14 on the season and continues crushing the baseball. Mikolas has also struggled badly against lefties, allowing six of his 11 home runs to them this year. This feels like a really solid spot for Olson to get back in the home run column.
