Ben Stiller Issues Plea To Knicks Fans After Game 3 Loss
Ben Stiller is as big of a celebrity New York Knicks fan as there is in 2026. The "Meet the Parents" star has been courtside for basically every big game, home and away, throughout this NBA Finals run. But the longtime Hollywood actor has not been happy with what he's seen from some of his fellow fans.
Monday night, several San Antonio Spurs fans were attacked by angry New York Knicks fans outside of Madison Square Garden. More than 20 Knicks fans were taken into police custody for their behavior. Spurs star Victor Wembanyama was not happy with the news.
"I am all for passion, but to the respect of each other. It's unacceptable," he told reporters on Tuesday.
Stiller, who attended Monday night's Game 3 loss to the Spurs, spoke out to his fellow Knicks fans on social media.
He's pleading with them to behave better.
"Being a Knick fan doesn't mean being disrespectful to Spurs fans in any way…we get caught up during the games but we gotta show respect to our fellow humans…" he wrote on X.
NYC Mayor Zohran Mamdani issues 'warning' to Knicks fans
Mamdani, who attended Monday night's Game 3, issued a warning to Knicks fans, making it clear that this kind of poor behavior will not be tolerated.
"New Yorkers are understandably passionate about the Knicks, and the overwhelming majority of fans watched the game last night in ways that were both safe and fun," a spokesperson for Mamdani said. "But the fights and other disruptive incidents - including assaults on police officers - in various parts of the city are unacceptable and will not be tolerated."
Game 4 is set for Wednesday night.
Tipoff is scheduled for 8:30 p.m. E.T. on ABC.
