Azeem Victor was voted Pac-12 defensive player of the week, and Dante Pettis was voted Pac-12 special teams player of the week for their performances during Washington’s 31-24 victory at Utah on Saturday.
Victor, a junior linebacker, finished with a career-high 16 tackles, and was also named the Walter Camp FBS defensive player of the week.
Pettis, a junior receiver, scored the decisive touchdown on a 58-yard punt return with 3:25 remaining. It was his second punt-return touchdown of the season and the fifth of his career, which set a UW record.
Victor and Pettis are the third and fourth Huskies players to win league player of the week honors this season. Senior linebacker Psalm Wooching and sophomore quarterback Jake Browning were the others.
