Here is the Huskies starting lineup, at least for now, judging from the opening-day practice we were allowed to attend Tuesday (the only practice we're allowed to attend).
Offense: Quarterback Isaiah Stanback; tailback Kenny James; receivers Sonny Shackelford and Anthony Russo; center Juan Garcia; guards Stanley Daniels and Clay Walker; tackles Chad Macklin and Ben Ossai; tight end Michael Gottlieb; kicker Michael Braunstein.
Defense: Ends Greyson Gunheim and Daniel Te'o-Nesheim; tackles Donny Mateaki and Wilson Afoa; linebackers Tahj Bomar, Dan Howell and Chris Stevens; corners Dashon Goldson and Roy Lewis; safeties C.J Wallace and Mesphin Forreste; punter Sean Douglas.
Obviously, things could change before the season opener Sept. 2 vs. San Jose State. Especially, if the missing juco players show up.
Other personnel notes from that first practice: Freshman quarterback Jake Locker competed his first pass; tackle Jordan White-Frisbee appears healthy and determined; juco-transfer receiver Marcel Reece looks every bit of his listed 240 pounds, but also looks intriguingly athletic; 390-pound offensive tackle Morgan Rosborough is running with the No. 2 unit. He still has weight to lose, but as Willingham noted, it takes a long time to run around him.
