After practicing in pads this morning, the Huskies are going in helmets and shoulder pads this afternoon. Perhaps because of the lack of heavy hitting, no one was wearing the red/injury jerseys. However, several players were limping or stretching their legs on the sideline bikes. Among them were South Sounders Shelton Sampson and Cody Ellis along with offensive linemen William Kava and Erik Berglund.
Also in uniform for the first time was Texas-transfer tailback Michael Houston, who was awarded jersey No. 34 and filled it out impressively at 6-foot-1, 238 pounds.
Not-yet-eligible juco transfer safety Ashlee Palmer looked on once again from the sidelines in street clothes.
