Thomas, Thompson both make Naismith top 30

Washington's Isaiah Thomas and Washington State's Klay Thompson have both been named to the 30 midseason candidates for the 2010-11 Naismith Trophy, the Atlanta Tipoff Club announced Friday.

The trophy is presented annually to college basketball’s men’s and women’s player of the year. The Atlantic Tipoff Club, founded during the1956-57 season, has presented the Naismith Trophy every year since UCLA’s Lew Alcindor first won the award in 1969.
