Malik Dime, a 6-foot-10 power forward prospect who plays for Indian Hills-Ottumwa Community College, announced on Twitter today that he plans to sign with the Washington Huskies men's basketball team.
Dime, who is listed by Indian Hills at 6-foot-9, 220 pounds, joins a recruiting class that includes four 4-star prospects: David Crisp (Rainier Beach), Dejounte Murray (Rainier Beach), Marquese Chriss (Pleasant Grove HS in Elk Grove, Calif.) and Matisse Thybulle (Eastside Catholic).
Dime chose UW over Iowa State, and was also considering Arkansas and Rutgers, among other offers. Here is his bio from Scout.com.
According to this NJCAA stats page, Dime averaged 7.7 points and 4.2 rebounds per game as a freshman at Indian Hills last season. He will be a sophomore for the 2014-15 season, and will be a junior when he arrives at UW.
