Huskies safety Trevor Walker, a sophomore from Arlington, Texas, tore the anterior-cruciate ligament in his knee during last week's 24-10 loss to Arizona State and will miss the rest of the season, UW coach Chris Petersen said on Thursday.
Walker has appeared in each of UW's eight games this season, and has recorded 14 tackles and recovered a fumble.
He made three starts this season, including the ASU game. Walker was listed on the UW depth chart as the backup to Kevin King at strong safety. His injury likely means an increased role for players like Brandon Beaver or Brian Clay.
