You knew Arizona, Oregon and Utah were going to represent the Pac-12 in the NCAA tournament.
But UCLA, considered by many pundits to be on the wrong side of the bubble, also wound up sneaking into the field as an 11 seed. So the Pac-12 wound up a four-bid league, after all.
Below are the pairings, locations and game times for the Pac-12 teams playing in the tournament, as well as a few other games of local interest. And here is the all-important printable tournament bracket from ESPN.
--- Arizona earned a No. 2 seed in Portland, and will face 15th-seed Texas Southern (11:10 a.m. Thursday) in the second round (first round, really).
--- Oregon, which lost to the Wildcats in the Pac-12 tournament title game, is a No. 8 seed playing in Omaha against 9th-seed Oklahoma State (3:50 p.m. Friday).
--- Utah was given a No. 5 seed and will play No. 12 seed Stephen F. Austin in Portland (4:27 p.m. Thursday).
--- And UCLA, a No. 11 seed, plays No. 6 seed SMU at 12:10 p.m. Friday in Louisville.
--- Gonzaga, a No. 2 seed, will make the short trip to Seattle for a 6:50 p.m. Friday game at KeyArena against 15th-seed North Dakota State.
--- The rest of the Seattle field (all games Friday): No. 5 seed Northern Iowa vs. No. 12 seed Wyoming, 10:40 a.m.; No. 4 seed Louisville vs. No. 13 seed UC-Irvine, 1:10 p.m.; No. 7 seed Iowa vs. No. 10 seed Davidson, 4:20 p.m.
--- Eastern Washington was given a 13 seed and a relatively short trip to Portland to face No. 4 seed Georgetown (6:57 p.m. Thursday).
--- Meanwhile, two Pac-12 teams will play in the NIT -- Stanford, which will host UC Davis in the first round, and Arizona State, which will travel to play a first-round game at Connecticut.
