The University of Washington men's basketball program made it official on Friday, announcing that star point guard Nigel Williams-Goss, sophomore guard Darin Johnson and junior center Gilles Dierickx each will transfer from UW.
Each player has been granted his release by the school.
Including its six-player recruiting class, Washington is now down to 10 scholarship players. The maximum allowed is 13.
It had been previously reported that Williams-Goss and Dierickx had decided to transfer. Johnson, who will be a junior in 2015-16, failed to carve out a significant role as a sophomore last season, averaging 4.4 points and 1.6 rebounds per game. He played an average of 17.2 minutes in the 26 games in which he appeared, and did not play in UW's final two games of the season.
