By now, most NFL draft projections include two Washington Huskies players as possible first-round picks -- nose tackle Danny Shelton, and cornerback Marcus Peters. Shelton, who is attending the draft in Chicago, is projected as a potential top-15 pick. Peters is mostly projected to go later. Let's check out a few mock drafts before the draft gets started tonight at 5 p.m.
--- First, a link to our story today about Sam Timmins, the UW basketball recruit from New Zealand who signed with the Huskies.
--- As our Gregg Bell wrote last week, the Huskies hope to have two first-round draft picks for the first time since 1995, when Napoleon Kaufman and Mark Bruener both went in the first round.
--- Will the Chicago Bears draft Shelton at No. 7? Shelton thinks he'd be a good fit there.
--- Mike Mayock of NFL.com predicts Shelton will go No. 12 to the Cleveland Browns, and thinks Peters will go to the Baltimore Ravens at No. 26.
--- Jason La Canfora also thinks Shelton is headed to the Browns with the 12th pick, and that Peters will be picked by the Pittsburgh Steelers at No. 22.
