Huskies WR Dante Pettis named Pac-12 special teams Player of the Week

Dante Pettis was voted Pac-12 special teams Player of the Week after returning a punt 76 yards for a touchdown during the Washington Huskies’ 16-13 loss at Boise State on Friday night.

Pettis was the only Huskies player to find the end zone. His return cut Boise State’s lead to 16-10 late in the third quarter after the Huskies had struggled to generate any kind of offensive consistency.

UCLA true freshman quarterback Josh Rosen was voted offensive Player of the Week after completing 28-of-35 passes for 351 yards and three touchdowns in his collegiate debut, and Utah defensive back Justin Thomas was voted defensive player of the week after returning an interception 55 yards for a touchdown to fuel the Utes’ victory over Michigan.
