Huskies links: A QB commitment, a vague QB health update and more

Some links to start your Tuesday.

--- Our story in today’s newspaper focuses on the Huskies’ quarterback situation, which is now a little murkier after a shoulder injury to starter Jake Browning. UW coach Chris Petersen wasn’t ready to commit to K.J. Carta-Samuels as a potential replacement if Browning isn’t able to play against Stanford, but you have to imagine he would be the guy, if he was Petersen’s choice to take over after Browning’s injury.

--- The Huskies received an oral commitment yesterday from Phoenix quarterback Daniel Bridge-Gadd.

--- Here’s the AP recap from Monday’s press conference.

--- Arizona coach Rich Rodriguez is not happy about a scheduled 8 p.m. kickoff for the UW-Arizona game on Oct. 31.

--- Is it time yet for California to extend the contract of coach Sonny Dykes?

--- ESPN College GameDay might actually, finally visit Pullman for a WSU game. Maybe.

--- One UW basketball note: ‘Husky Hoopla’ will be held Wednesday at 8 p.m. at Hec Edmundson Pavilion.
