A former Washington Huskies quarterback will apparently return to the Pac-12.
Troy Williams, who transferred from Washington following the 2014 season, has given an oral commitment to play for Utah in 2016, according to reports. Williams is playing as a third-year sophomore this season at Santa Monica College, and will have two years to play two seasons for the Utes.
Williams was a coveted, 4-star recruit out of Narbonne High School in the class of 2013, but he left UW after playing sparingly as a redshirt freshman in 2014. His only start -- a 24-14 home loss to Arizona State -- came amid difficult weather conditions that included heavy rain and strong winds. He finished his UW career 23-of-36 passing for 176 yards and two interceptions. He did score a rushing touchdown in last year’s 45-20 loss to Oregon.
The Salt Lake Tribune notes that Williams threw four touchdown passes and rushed for three in his most recent game with Santa Monica.
