Big road game against storied program? All-white uniforms

Greetings from Los Angeles. It's balmy, but the window is open here at the press box at Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum.

Many who have arrived early have been watching the surprisingly-intriguing UCLA-Washington State game on television, being held just across town. The Bruins are starting to pull away.

Looks like it's going to be the all-white uniforms for the Huskies today. The last time they went with that was last season at Notre Dame (much be punch-drunk from the constant playing of fight songs during practice, so they went plain!).

The defensive linemen are holding their own special meeting at midfield as others start wandering for pre-game stretching.

Forty-five minutes before kickoff, UW coach Steve Sarkisian made the rounds to former USC colleagues, including Trojans' coach Lane Kiffin at the 40-yard line.

A few surprise non-participants on the trip, notably fullback Dorson Boyce. Slowly, his playing time in practice has decreased with the emergence of true freshman Zach Fogerson at fullback. But walkon tight end Marek Domanski is on the trip, and not Boyce, who is a senior, too?

As expected, cornerback Anthony Boyles and receiver Luther Leonard are not with the team. They did not travel the opening week at Brigham Young, either.

Here is the complete list of players who did not travel:
