No. 1 Oregon 0, Washington 0, 1st Qtr.

Yeah, can you believe it?

The Huskies defense played arguably their best quarter of defense to start out the game.

The UW had three tackles for losses on Oregon's opening drive - including a Victor Aiyewa sack - and forced the Ducks to punt.

On the Ducks' next drive, Quinton Richardson stopped LaMichael James short of a first down on a pass, and another punt ensued.

Cort Dennison stopped James for no gain on a fourth-and-2 run from the Huskies' 38 on Oregon's third drive with 2:13 to go.

The UW offense did reach the Ducks' 43 late in the quarter, but had to punt. The Huskies have 56 total yards.
