UCLA 7, Washington 0, 1st Qtr.

Pretty simple and mundane for the Bruins on their long, long, LONG scoring drive (13 plays, 92 yards). Seventy of the yards came on the ground - capped by Johnathan Franklin's 31-yard touchdown scamper off right tackle, breaking tackles by linebackers Victor Aiyewa and Cort Dennison.

UCLA had its 7-0 lead with 5:20 remaining.

After a Jake Locker interception on the UW's next drive, the Bruins stalled at the Huskies' 26, and Kai Forbath - one of the all-time NCAA leaders in field goals - missed a 44-yard field goal attempt at the 2:19 mark.

Each team went three-and-out on its initial drives.

Aiyewa added to his Pac-10-leading total of tackles for losses when he dropped Franklin for a 1-yard loss on the first play from scrimmage.

The Bruins had 97 yards at the end of the quarter; 76 on the ground. The UW has 33 total yards.

The Huskies are facing fourth-and-1 to begin the second quarter from their own 45-yard line. Think UW coach Steve Sarkisian is considering going for it instead of punting.
