There's ice, and then there's ICY - Sarkisian

As UW practiced concluded, Steve Sarkisian was one of the first to make his way toward the tunnel.

Bundled up, with his head buried inside a purple-colored knitted cap, he apparently wanted very little to do with the waiting press corps.

But he answered questions - with one, two or three words per response:

* Injured Senio Kelemete (right ankle)? "He was better."

* Injured Sean Parker (shoulder)? "He was better today, too."

* Injured Kiel Rasp (back) OK? "Yeah, he's good."

* The weather in Pullman a concern? "We got a chance to practice in (snow) last week, so we'll be OK."

* Travel issues? "No, we'll be OK."

Finally after a few questions of obviously being tight-lipped (maybe his tongue was actually frozen from practice), one reporter asked the obvious.

"You're not going to give up much?" the reporter asked.

"Nope, nope," he remarked.

Must be a big game in the Apple Cup.

** OTHER WEDNESDAY PRACTICE NOTES: Kelemete and Parker did not practice, but Rasp did. ... Defensive end Talia Crichton (knee) was running the stadium stairs. ... Versus sideline reporter Charissa Thompson was scheduled to work the game, but canceled this week. She is from Seattle. ... Skyline High practiced in the Dempsey Center at the same time the UW was in Husky Stadium.
