Angered by Stanford, Thomas shoots lights out

Stanford angered the wrong guy.

That's how UW junior guard Isaiah Thomas explained his late first half eruption tonight when he scored 14 points in the final two and a half minutes of the first half in the Huskies' 87-76 win over the Cardinal.

"They made me mad," he said. "They were just talking. I just had to turn it up. It was the end of the half. I couldn’t really see either, but luckily the shots went in."

Couldn't see?

"My eye was so messed up. I seen two of everything. I don’t know how they went in. Yeah, I got hit by a teammate early in the first half. That’s why I had to come out."

"They were just talking a little too much. I just felt like I had to be a little more aggressive than when I was first in there. Like I said, my teammates found me and I knocked down the shots."
