Can't dot his all the time, but thought I'd post a look at some of the former Huskies, who played in the first set of NFL preseason games. For some of them, these games are extremely important.
After missing last season with an injury, linebacker Donald Butler is vying for a starting linebacker job with the Chargers. He gave up his No. 51 to Takeo Spikes and then took the No. 56 which belonged to Shawne Merriman. He got the start against the Seahawks on Thursday night and had four tackles and looked pretty good. Former Husky safety C.J. Wallace had seven tackles.
Isaiah Stanback started for the Seahawks at wide receiver with Mike Williams and Sidney Rice inactive. Stanback had two catches for 12 yards.
In the Eagles' 13-6 win over the Ravens, Daniel Te'o-Nesheim had two tackles and a sack for Philly.
D'Andre Goodwin, who is with the Broncos, had one catch for 12 yards in Denver's 24-23 loss to the Cowboys.
Arizona defeated Oakland 24-18. For the Raiders, Louis Rankin had five carries for 2 yards and caught two passes for 19 yards. Marcel Reece had one catch for six yards, and one catch for two yards.
