Huskies Insider Blog

If the season started tomorrow ...

If the season started tomorrow, here's what the starting lineups would like based on what we've seen at practice and from what coaches have said.

QB: Keith Price

RB: Chris Polk

WR: Jermaine Kearse

WR: Devin Aguilar

WR: Kasen Williams

TE: Michael Hartvigson

RT: Erik Kohler

RG: Colin Porter

C: Drew Schaeffer

LF: Colin Tanigawa

LT: Senio Kelemete

Obviously, the Husky use so many multiple formations that other players figure in. Jonathan Amosa would be the fullback when they used, and Austin Seferian-Jenkins would be the other tight end in two tight end formations. Kevin Smith should also get repetitions on offense, because he's been better than Aguilar this spring. The offensive line has been the same lineup since the first day of practice.

DE: Hau'oli Jamora

DT: Alameda Ta'amu

DT: Everettt Thompson

DE: Talia Crichton

OLB: John Timu

MLB: Cort Dennison

OLB: Prince Fuiamano

CB: Desmond Trufant

FS:  Nate Fellner

SS: Sean Parker

CB: Gregory Ducre

Notes: Expect freshman Danny Shelton to see plenty of playing time. He may not start, but he will be out there on the field. Ultimately, they may want to move Thompson back outside since he's better in run support than Crichton. Sione Potoa'e will also figure into the rotation at defensive tackle. In the secondary, Ducre will move into Quinton Richardson's spot as he recovers from the leg injury. It looks as though Timu has beaten out Garrett Gilliland for the most part, but Gilliland will get some time, because well they are freshmen and they will make mistakes. Justin Glenn is healthy for the moment and could be the nickel back.

K: Erik Folk

P: Kiel Rasp

KR: Jesse Callier, Kevin Smith

PR: Cody Bruns

Notes: Rasp and Will Mahan are having plenty of competition, but Rasp is 100 percent healthy right now. The return me will rotate. Callier and Smith have seen time, but others could figure in. At punt returner, Bruns in the most sure-handed, Devin Aguilar has also seen reps and recently Kasen Williams has been getting in plenty of reps.
