Final: Washington 40, Hawaii 32

Fourth Quarter

Hawaii's onside kick was about eight yards short of the 10-yard minimum and the Huskies kneeled three times to end the game.

1:39 -- things got interesting late -- don't they always? UW had a punt blocked and Hawaii took over with a very short field. The Warriors needed just five plays and converted on third down yet again as Bryant Moniz hit Jeremiah Ostrowski with an 8-yard touchdown pass to cut the lead to 38-32. But the extra point was blocked for the second time by Everette Thompson and Des Trufant picked it up and returned more than 80 yards for two points.

10:02 -- Huskies may have just put the game away with a quick touchdown drive. Chris Polk set it up with a big 15 yard run and later Keith Price hit Austin Seferian-Jenkins for a 14 yard TD pass in the back of the end zone.

13:34 -- Hawaii will not go away and the Huskies cannot get a stop on third down. The Warriors march 75 yards in nine plays and punch it on Sterling Jackson's 2 yard run. They went for two but Greg Ducre made a good play on Moniz's scrambling pass to Darius Bright.  It's UW 31-26

Third quarter

3:30 -- UW answers Hawaii's score with a 36 yard field goal from Erik Folk. Really the Huskies got a break getting  holding call after being stopped on third down. But they couldn't capitalize as John Hardy-Tuliau made a great play to break up a third down pass.

Well Hawaii comes out and puts together a 73-yard scoring drive with Bryant Moniz scoring from 1-yard. The Warriors converted on third and 9, third and 12 and third and 2. Everette Thompson blocked the extra point, so it's 28-20

Second quarter

:44 -- Hawaii thought it might be able to get the ball back and score before halftime and took a couple of timeouts, instead Washington decided it would score. Price hit Devin Aguilar on a 31 yard touchdown pass.  Huskies lead 28-14

2:20 -- And we have ourselves a ball game. Keith Price was looking for Devin Aguilar in the end zone for a sure touchdown only safety Richard Torres stepped in front of the lofted pass and returned it 99 yards for a touchdown. On the play, Puyallup's Aaron Brown delivered a vicious block on Chris Polk that helped Torres go the distance. It's now 21-14.

6:19 -- Hawaii is on the board, getting a 1-yard touchdown run from Sterling Jackson. Bryant Moniz started to heat up completing four passes in the 10 play drive three of them for 12 yards or more as UW played that soft zone defense. Quinton Richardson missed his assignment and gave up an 18-yard reception that got Hawaii down inside the 10 yard line. UW leads 21-7

First quarter

2:39 -- This is turning into a rout in a hurry. Huskies score again, needing just four plays. Keith Price hit Devin Aguilar with a 59 yard pass on the post to start the drive. He finished it with a 20-yard TD to Jermaine Kearse over the middle. It's now 21-0 and Price is 8-for-8 with 193 yards passing.

7:03 -- The Huskies have certainly came out and played with purpose offensively. Defensively, well they were getting marched on by Hawaii in its first possession. On a second down, Bryant Moniz scrambled around a little and Quinton Richardson bit on the scramble leaving Royce Pollard wide open. Moniz flipped the ball to Pollard, who sprinted for the end zone. But Cort Dennison caught him from behind and broke the ball free. Greg Ducre recovered the ball.

The Huskies then marched 95 yards on 11 plays, with five plays getting double digit yardage. They scored on Keith Price's swing pass to the flats to Jermaine Kearse, who got a huge block from James Johnson for a 10-yard TD

13:50 -- Well Steve Sarkisian said he wanted to be aggressive and he did so right away. The Huskies came out and threw on their first play of the game. Keith Price looked deep on the play, but Jermaine Kearse was double teamed so easily dumped it off to Austin Seferian-Jenkins for a 30 yard gain. On the next play, Price scrambled and hit a wide open Seferian-Jenkins again. He rumbled down to the 2 yard line for a 47 yard gain. Chris Polk punched it on a play later from two yards out.
