Ameer Abdallah sparked the Huskers to the win with his 100-yard kick return for a touchdown. The Huskers rank No. 1 in the NCAA in kick return yardage.  Taylor Martinez continued his big play magic in the win.  The vaunted Black Shirt defense struggled a little with the rollouts by quarterback Derek Carr. It was something FSU hadn't shown in the first game.  The Huskers didn't panic when they were down to Fresno State. Columist Steven Sipple says that expectations for Nebraska need to be adjusted.

The Huskers rallied after a so-so first half ... sophomore corner back Ciante Evans and the Huskers secondary gave up 254 yards passing to Fresno. Linebacker Will Compton made it back after injuring his foot in the first game and had 15 tackles. The Huskers are hurt by the absence of corner back Alfonso Dennard.
