Quick practice notes: Price practices, but moves gingerly

Sitting up in the Don James watching members of the UW football team and soccer team participate in their own Dancing with the Stars competition. The video is supposedly going to be sent to Hope Solo, who is competing on the show tonight.

Practice was short and to the point. Obviously, the biggest question is the healthy of quarterback Keith Price, who is battling two sore knees.

Price came out wearing the heavy plastic "stick" brace on the left knee that he sprained against Nebraska. Meanwhile, the right knee which he sprained against Eastern was taped heavily. Price was moving pretty gingerly and clearly labored on trying to make long handoffs and making the five-step drop in the pocket. It's not much different than how he moved on the Monday after he sprained his knee the first time.

He talked earlier in the day about having to overcompensate with his core when it came to his throwing mechanics to generate a tight spiral. He threw the ball decently. Price was limited a little in the team drills with Nick Montana taking a few more snaps, which isn't surprising.

Running back Jesse Callier dressed out, but did not practice, because of a sore knee. Linebacker Princeton Fuiamaono (shin) also practiced and safety Nate Fellner (hamstring) also practiced, but did not participate in any team drills. Justin Glenn worked out with the No. 1 defense.
