This week's Pac 12 football power rankings

1. Stanford 5-0 (1)

Andrew Luck gets to visit scenic Pullman where he will carve up the Cougs on his farewell tour of Pac 12 schools.

2. Oregon 4-1 (2)

Tough to see LaMichael James go down with a dislocated elbow, but does anyone doubt he will play against Stanford?

3. Arizona State 5-1 (3)

Vontaze Burfict may be too tired to play with rage when the Devils face Oregon on Saturday.

4. Washington 4-1 (4)

The Huskies are a double digit favorite at home this weekend. Then again they were a double digit favorite against Eastern Washington.

5. USC 4-1 (5)

Lane Kiffin says the program will return to where it was under Pete Carroll. Does that mean the NCAA violations too?

6. UCLA 3-3 (10)

Kevin Prince wins the starting QB job by default thanks to Richard Brehaut’s season-ending injury in their battle of mediocrity.

7. California 3-3 (6)

The Bears were competitive with Oregon for about a half, which makes them slightly better than about half the teams below them.

8. Washington State 4-2 (8)

Of course some fans will say WSU “Coug’ed it” in the loss to UCLA. But that claim could be made in any close loss.

Inconsistent starting quarterback Jordan Wynn is done for the season. But he was Joe Montana compared to backup Jon Hays.

10. Oregon State 1-4 (12)

Would you really be surprised if the Beavs beat BYU this weekend followed by wins over Washington State and Utah?

11. Arizona 1-5 (9)

Head coach Mike Stoops was fired earlier this week. It means no more jokes about his sideline temper tantrums.

12. Colorado 1-5 (11)

Looking at the rest of the Buffaloes schedule, it’s tough to find another game they can win, maybeUtah or Arizona.
