Game updates: Washington 42, Arizona 31 -- Final

Fourth quarter

4:10 -- Chris Polk 2 yard TD run.

8:21 -- Freshman Kasen Williams comes up with a huge 48 yard pass to set up Chris Polk's 5-yard TD run

14:10 -- Arizona bogs down in the red zone after marching right down the field including a 41-yard conversion on third and three. They settle for a 24 yard field goal from John Bonano. Arizona leads 31-28

Third quarter

4:41 -- Arizona answers in no time. Nick Foles hit Juron Criner for a 9-yard TD pass. The Wildcats got 15 free yards on an awful personal foul call on what looked like a clean hit by Nate Fellner.

4:22 -- Chris Polk with a 1-yard TD run. As Keith Price had a big scramble and threw a big pass to Austin Seferian-Jenkins on the drive.

10:40 -- It looked as though the Huskies were headed for another score. Keith Price had just hit Chris Polk for a 41-yard pass and UW was moving. But Price's pass to James Johnson in the flat was bobbled right into the arms of safety Robert Golden, who returned ran about 120 yards around the field and officially returned it 91 yards for a touchdown. Nick Foles hit David Douglas for the 2-point conversion. Game is tied at 21

13:11 -- UW sets the tone on its first possession. Kevin Smith returns the opening kick of the half 44 yards. Washington also got bailed out when Arizona was called for pass interference on a play where Keith Price threw into triple coverage and was intercepted. Given new life, Price hit Chris Polk for a 17-yard TD pass. Washington leads 21-13

Second quarter

6:16 -- After Chris Polk had his two yard TD run taken away, he came back four plays later on fourth and goal from the 1 and went over the right side untouched for the score. Washington takes its first lead at 14-13.

9:43 -- Arizona gets a 47 yard field goal from John Bonano. Foles will kick himself watching film. He had a guy open and probably could have scrambled for the first down on third and four from the 30. Arizona leads 13-7

12:51 -- Washington finally scores after getting robbed on some poor refereeing. It appeared as though the Huskies got a great 31-yard gain down to the goal line on a pretty pass to Michael Hartvigson, who made a leaping catch and had the ball in his hand. He landed on the ground and the ball came out. Refs on the field called it an incomplete pass. But it looked as though Hartvigson had control. They looked at the replays which seemed to show the call was wrong . And then the Pac 12 officials being the Pac 12 officials still said the ruling on the field stood. I haven't heard booing like that since Shaun Alexander played for the Seahawks

Anyway, the Huskies shake it off.  Keith Price completes a big pass to Devin Aguilar and then two plays later a backward pass to Jermaine Kearse went for an 8 yard touchdown. Arizona leads 10-7

First quarter

6:22 -- The Huskies defense continues to be porous. Arizona marches down the field again and on a second and 10, Nick Foles sees the safety blitz coming early and hits Juron Criner in single coverage on a short pass. Greg Ducre missed the tackle. And Criner raced 24 yards for a touchdown. Arizona leads 10-0

10:58 -- Arizona gets on the board first taking the opening drive down the field and getting a 36 yard field goal from John Bonano. However, the Wildcats can't be happy. They marched right down the field and then bogged down on three straight run plays to Keola Antolin. Arizona 3-0.
