Apple Cup Updates: Washington 38, WSU 21(5:23 fourth quarter)

Fourth Quarter

5:23 -- Chris Polk with a 1 yard TD run and the Huskies lead 38-21.  UW got the ball back after Sean Parker picked off a double pass attempt by WSU. He got a little help from Desmond Trufant, who tipped the ball back to him. Polk ripped off a 34-yard run on a draw to set up his scoring run. UW leads 38-21

13:16 -- Erik Folk boots a 46-yard field goal to go up 31-21.

Third quarter

4:31 -- Marshall Lobbestael hits Marquess Wilson on a short screen pass and the wide receiver does the rest, using a nice block from pulling right tackle Dan Spits to go 38 yards for a TD. UW leads 28-21

5:56 -- Keith Price shows why he is now in the record books. He completes two 18 yard passes and then hits Chris Polk on a wheel route for a 22 yard TD, giving him 29 TD passes on the season, which is a new school record, surpassing the old mark of 28 held by Cody Pickett.

Second quarter

:24 --Kasen Williams is the best player on the field right now. He makes a catch and then leaps over a defender. On the next play, Price hit Williams for a 21-yard TD pass. The TD pass gave Price 28 on the season, tying him with Cody Pickett for the most in a season. UW leads 21-14

2:05 -- The Cougs just carved up the Husky defense, needing just eight plays to go 66 yards. Marshall Lobbestael completed all four of his passes on the drive including a 16-yard TD to Marquess Wilson. It's tied at 14-14

7:55 -- After Erik Folk missed a 37-yard field, WSU finally stops making mistakes and turning it over and puts together a solid 12-play, 80-yard drive as Marshall Lobbestael hits Jared Karstetter on a 16-yard TD pass on third and goal from the 16-yard line. UW leads 14-7

First quarter

2:13 -- Washington needs all of five plays for its next score. A 30 yard keeper from Jesse Callier out of the "wildcat" formation helped set up a 16-yard touchdown pass from Keith Price to Kasen Williams. Price threaded it past Nolan Washington and Williams made a terrific catch for the score. UW leads 14-0.

Washington goes three and out on its first series, but the special teams makes a play as Thomas Tutogi blocked Dan Wagner's punt and Jesse Callier caught in the air and returned 2 yards for a touchdown. UW leads 7-0
