The official pairings won't be announced for two more hours, but the San Antonio Express is reporting that Washington will play Baylor in the Valero Alamo Bowl on Dec. 29
From the story ...
The Valero Alamo Bowl has invited Baylor and Washington to play in the Dec. 29 game at the Alamodome.
A source familiar with bowl negotiations said the local bowl made its pick after the final Bowl Championship Series standings were revealed to them Sunday afternoon. The standings will be revealed later this evening by ESPN.
The local bowl was contracted to receive the third choice from the Big 12 and the second choice from the Pac-12. They were unable to make that pick from the Pac-12 because of USC’s NCAA-mandated bowl probation and Stanford being chosen as an at-large team in the BCS.
Baylor (9-3) got the edge over Oklahoma (9-3) because of the Bears’ 45-38 victory over the Sooners on Nov. 19. The Bears also have the star power of junior quarterback Robert Griffin III, who likely cemented a trip to the Heisman presentation Saturday night in New York City with a big effort in the victory over Texas.
