The coaching carousel at Washington continues to go around and around. The school announced the hiring of Tosh Lupoi earlier in the day. And now it appears that offensive coordinator Doug Nussmeier going to Alabama is a done deal.
Head coach Steve Sarkisian said last week that Nussemeier had interviewed with Alabama. The Tide also looked at Dirk Koetter, who took a job with the Falcons and a few other candidates.
But it appears that Nussmeier will be the choice. You can't really fault the guy for leaving. He will get to call plays and a significant raise.
So what will the Huskies do?
Footballscoop.com is reporting that wide receivers coach Jimmy Dougherty will move to offensive coordinator and the Huskies will hire a new receivers coach.
It's not a huge change since Steve Sarkisian calls the plays. And that won't change. But Nussemeier was a big factor in Keith Price's improvement as well.
