Partial transcript after the jump ...

Abdul Gaddy

On each half

We played well the first half and then played bad the second half. It’s simple really. We didn’t play as physical as the first half; we just got boards and stats really. (We) Tried to get the game over with. We need to mature better and handle success better. It was surprising because we were doing so much better than that. We just need to make sure that gets better before Saturday. It’s hard because you can’t just turn the switch on like that all the time, and for us to do that, it was immature of us, but we can bounce back from it. We’ve done it before.

On staying in first place

It’s big. We want to stay in first place because we can control our own destiny in these last five games. Just got to come out and take it to each team. Each team is going to give us their best game so we need to come out and be prepared.

On C.J. Wilcox

It was good to see him knocking down shots—that’s what he does best. It was good to see him mobile out there and he will be like that for the rest of the season. I mean, we need him. We need him to win games.

Darnell Gant

On scoring nine consecutively

I just was trying to get open and my guys were finding me. I was trying to crash the offensive glass because they were playing zone, and I was trying to get aggressive to pick and choose my spots.

On his dunk

My teammates are always clownin’ on me about not being able to jump off of one foot, and I got a one-foot dunk and just tried to get a little extra on it.
